10 Tasks That You Should Be Outsourcing

These tasks generally will get you better results when you outsource them to someone who specializes in them. While you don’t need to hire someone for everything on this list, outsourcing a few can really free up some hours.

Admin

Anything that you do every single day, like organizing emails, running receipts, or daily logs are often easy enough to hand off to a virtual assistant.

Bookkeeping and Accounting

Because of the complexities of these tasks, having a professional handle them can not only save you time but a lot of headaches. Find a freelancer who specializes on accounting to save yourself some money.

Customer Support

Having a chatbot, or a virtual assistant who helps with odd and end customer support can be a big help. Even if they just handle simple things like hours or troubleshooting.

Social Media

Algorithms change daily. Having someone who can focus on that will help you free up your own time, but they can keep up with trends. You can still curate images and guide content, but let them handle the posting, hashtags, and comment interaction. (You do have a brand voice guide right? Or at least some reply templates?)

Marketing

Just like social media, a pro can give you far better results. Hire a copywriter, content planner, or even a marketing coach to streamline your plan.

Pro Tip for those who like to do it themselves. Hire a marketing coach. They can help you map your goals, and how to get there to take the bulk of the work out of the process.

Email Management

Another easy task that you can pass off to a good Virtual Assistant. They can not only manage your inbox, but if given the right tools (like templates) they can handle most of your correspondence. You would only need to worry about high-priority mail. Pretty cool right?

IT Support

You could spend days learning how to move a graphic over to the right side of your website. Or, you can just outsource it. From hosting to your on-site tech, having a good IT person is worth the price.

Content Creation

A good writer on call is another good asset to have. From writing emails (like this awesome newsletter) to blog posts. Having a content creator can save you a lot of time. Because they often are responsible for the beginning of your sales funnel, they give you the most ROI of these outsourced tasks.

But isn’t spending the day at your kid’s football game worth it?

I think so too.

Website Management

You should be spending at least a few hours every single month making sure your site is up-to-date and working properly.

Data Entry

Inventory, customer profiles, and more. Even weekly tasks like taxes and payroll can be easily outsourced to save you a few hours every month, if not a week. At the very least having software that can integrate and handle these things can be a huge time saver.

Outsourcing isn’t just about saving time; it’s about maximizing your energy and focusing on what really moves the needle for your business. By handing off some of these tasks, you’re not just freeing up hours—you’re creating space for growth, new ideas, and even a little extra downtime. So, take a look at what’s holding you back and see where you can bring in the experts.
